" I have been a photographer for fifteen years, working primarily with black and white film. I have also made my living as a repair technician of photographic equipment, which has given me the skill set necessary to modify and customize my gear to suit my needs and aesthetic. In 2011, I became fascinated with the visual possibilities that can be achieved in both antique and custom-built optical systems. The imperfections in focus and curious behaviors of light that expose themselves in patient experimentation with uncorrected optics have been my primary focus ever since; they provide the surprise, excitement and self-renewing curiosity that sustains my efforts and provide the context for my photographic concerns."
