"Color Management in a Digital World"

Digital Imagers Meeting

Sunday Nov. 4, 2012 at 1:15, Pitt Scaife Hall, Room 1102

Dusty and Val will provide insights into color management of the digital photograph. Color management is a vital component of digital workflow and is instrumental in producing the intended finished art work. Areas of discussion include post-capture, post-processing, proper color management and the issues encountered with color and technology. Fine art examples and color demonstration to be provided.

The Scott's are fine art and performance image makers. Their photos are in public and private collections and libraries worldwide. Dusty and Val are recipients of the 2009 "Keeping the Blues Alive" award for Art and Photography and are active members of the Blues Foundation. Their photographs have been shown on Good Morning America, the Today Show and The Early Show.

Dusty is passionate and focused with the love of nature and music imbueing his creations in a unique style. His drive to capture the gesture of both nature's glory and performing musicians in each frame is an art in itself.

Val delights in fine art landscape photography and documenting journeys through both camera lens and written diaries. Her internal creative flair is manifested through the camera lens and her curious spirit and motivation is reflected in each of her artworks.
