Biography:
Photographer David Ashkenas has worked in Pittsburgh since
the early 70's. His exhibitions include the Mendelson Gallery, Pittsburgh,
Photoworks Gallery, Boston, and others. He has participated in group shows
at the Museum of Art of the Carnegie Institute, Moore College of Art, the
Foto Gallery New York, and Eloquent Light, Rochester. His work is in the public
collection of the Carnegie Museum, Polaroid Corporation, PPG Corporation,
the Pennsylvania Council of the Arts, Howard Heinz Endowment and others. He
has received numerous grants and awards in the early 1980's. He currently
freelances for corporations, hospitals and magazines.
