Biography:
Dennis Marsico has photographed around the world and has a special interest in the architecture of Italy. Since 1987 he has specialized in editorial travel photography, and his work is commissioned by Travel Holiday, Travel & Leisure, National Geographic Traveler and the New York Times Sophisticated Traveler. He has done commissioned photography for Absolut Vodka, Corbis, Encyclopedia Britannica and Mellon Bank. He incorporates digital work and wood type into his photos and prints limited edition books on a 1936 Vandercook press under Dionysus Press imprint.
His awards include:
- Graham Foundation Grant for Adv. Studies in the FIne arts
- Lowell Thomas Award for best magazine black and white photography
- Corbis 4 month commission
